FxPro demo account
Virtual balance, real platform habits.
CFDs are complex. A majority of retail investor accounts lose money. Capital at risk.
An FxPro demo account gives virtual balance on MT4, MT5, or cTrader so you can measure spreads and practice orders without funding. Psychology still differs from a live book. August 2026.
- Register via Direct.
- Open a demo for the platform you will use live.
- Trade your real SGT session hours.
- Journal costs and mistakes.
Then open account live only with risk capital. Platforms · spreads.
What a demo is for (and what it is not)
An FxPro demo account is a practice book with virtual funds on MT4, MT5, or cTrader. Use it to learn order tickets, measure spreads in SGT hours, and stress-test an EA. It will not train the fear you feel when real SGD-converted capital moves. August 2026.
Many Singapore searchers open a demo for five minutes, place one market order, and declare themselves ready. That is tourism. Treat demo like flight school: same platform, same session window, written rules, boring repetition.
How to open a demo from Singapore
- Register through Direct (Partner CTA if you use our sponsored path).
- Choose the platform you expect to trade live. Do not demo MT4 if you plan to live-trade cTrader.
- Note server names and login credentials separately from your Direct password.
- Set chart templates and hotkeys before you chase trades.
- Journal for at least one full work week of your real hours.
Entity honesty still applies even on demo onboarding screens. FxPro is not presented here as MAS CMS-licensed. Typical live SG path is SCB-facing. Read legal Singapore before you fund anything.
What to measure on demo
- Average spread on your top three symbols at your usual clock times.
- Slippage around minor data prints you actually trade.
- Round-turn cost if you plan Raw+ live (spread plus commission model).
- Stop behaviour and partial close tools on your platform.
- Mobile versus desktop execution if you might trade on the commute.
Log numbers in a sheet. Screenshots without timestamps are vanity. Pair this work with spreads and platforms.
Demo psychology traps
Virtual money invites oversized lots and revenge stacks you would never attempt live. Cap demo risk the same way you will cap live risk. If your demo equity curve only works at 5% risk per trade, it will not survive contact with a funded Wallet.
Another trap: demo feeds can feel cleaner than live during stress. Expect worse live. Size down on day one of real money even if demo looked perfect.
SGT session plan for practice
Asia morning: watch spread widen on majors; practice patience rather than forcing trades. London open evening SGT: practice your actual playbook. US overlap late evening: decide whether fatigue destroys your rules. Flat before sleep if your journal shows night errors.
Scalpers should read scalping while demoing. Stock CFD curiosity belongs on stock CFDs with earnings dates marked.
From demo to live without drama
Pass a written checklist: entity name understood, method floor known, withdrawal path tested after a small deposit, daily loss stop defined. Then open account live. Fund near a common method floor (often about USD 100 on many rails). Do not invent SGD base currency. See minimum deposit and deposits.
EA and VPS notes
If you test robots on demo, use the same filling mode and symbol suffixes you will see live. A VPS can wait until the EA proves stable. Jumping to paid hosting before rules exist just burns cash.
Affiliate note
SG FX Desk may earn if you register via our sponsored link. Demo access and live terms still sit with FxPro. No profit guarantee. Most retail CFD accounts lose money.
Demo FAQ
Is the FxPro demo free?
Yes. Virtual funds for practice on supported platforms.
Does demo match live spreads exactly?
Close enough to learn, not identical under stress. Re-measure live with tiny size.
Which platform should I demo?
The one you will fund. Switching later wastes practice hours.
Can I skip demo if I traded elsewhere?
You can, but you still need FxPro-specific ticket and server habits. One week of demo is cheap insurance.
Sample two-week demo syllabus
Week one: platform mechanics only. No strategy shopping. Learn order entry, stop modification, partial close, and chart templates on one symbol.
Week two: add your real playbook at reduced fantasy size. Log spreads each session. Mark every rule break in the journal with a one-line cause. If you cannot last two weeks without revenge sizing on virtual money, you are not ready for a funded Wallet.
Demo versus live checklist before switching
- Entity name understood (legal).
- Platform chosen and practised (platforms).
- All-in cost estimated (spreads).
- Daily loss stop written in SGD terms you feel in your salary.
- First live deposit capped near a method floor you can lose (minimum deposit).
Skip the syllabus and you will pay tuition to the market instead of to a spreadsheet. CFDs already favour the house statistically for retail accounts. Do not widen that gap with ignorance of the ticket.
When you graduate, use the sponsored path only if you still want FxPro after the homework: open account.
Common demo mistakes we see in hub traders
Mistake one: demoing on MT4 while planning to fund cTrader. Your practice hours do not transfer cleanly across different order panels.
Mistake two: using demo to chase ten strategies in ten days. Pick one ruleset. Boring repetition beats novelty.
Mistake three: ignoring spread logs because the equity curve looks pretty on virtual money. Pretty curves with ugly costs die on live books.
Mistake four: skipping mobile tests if you will manage risk on a phone after dinner. Mis-taps are expensive.
Fix the mistakes, then open live with eyes open via Direct. Keep spreads and open account in the same tab group.
